Making an Altered Book: for all Known & Undiscovered Creatives!
Join me every two weeks for an evening of making altered books in a friendly and casual atmosphere. Learn all the basic, up-to-date methods necessary for taking an old, obsolete book and filling it with collage art that is personal to you, crafted from the flotsam of life and your own dreams. Great music, cups of tea, and all art materials included. Techniques explained, support and inspiration freely shared, and all help and advice provided on demand. Try this deeply creative and freeing art form which need only please you, and has very few rules. No experience necessary, but bring your adventurous spirit!

Monthly Drumming Circle
In a small group setting with a comfortable atmosphere, practice shamanic techniques to travel safely and efficiently into non-ordinary states of consciousness.
I will provide the live drumming for the circle, but if you have a flat drum and beater or a rattle, you are welcome to bring them and drum at the same time. We will set either a group or private intention beforehand, then drum and journey for about 20 minutes, and discuss afterwards. This salon is for people who have already learned how to meditate or journey with intention.

Basic Journeying Skills
In four private sessions, learn and practice the basics of the shamanic journeying skills shared by indigenous cultures around the world. Using both drumming and breathing techniques, you will begin the practice of travelling through your imagination to non-ordinary states of consciousness. Meet your spiritual allies and begin a meaningful relationship to receive healing and knowledge for yourself and others. Be surprised as you discover the source of your inspiration and genius.

Restoring the River
- 13 months-long, taught one-on-one / or for groups of up to six participants
- based on traditional numinous skill-building during the passing of the seasons
We meet together one Sunday a month for thirteen months, during which I will teach you shamanic journeying skills which stem from European traditions. Together we will clear out and heal any personal blockages to your desired future. You will create your own store of enchanted objects for use in your practice while developing the foundation of a personal spiritual practice. I work with the helping spirits to create custom designed curriculum just for you that is spontaneous and responsive to your character.
The training will combine otherworld and ancestral divinings, challenges, and spontaneous healing sessions. Through art, movement, and ageless, traditional, numinous tasks you will rediscover the path of the clear, deep and rushing river that flows beneath the ordinary river of your life. From this work, these rivers will begin to flow together as your spiritual practice flows ever more into the everyday.
The passing of the seasons during the year provides the spiritual metaphors with which we will work through feelings and the body. A physical experience of the interplay between the seasons and the elements therefore will become profoundly internalized.
Tests of courage and emotional challenges are necessary to become honed and enlightened and wise. Students ready for this work should look on it as a significant challenge which will surprise and confront them. This training is highly intensive and deeply fun, but in between the meetings it will require your committed preparation.
One Sunday per month we will meet for five hours. From October to March we will meet from 4pm to 9pm, and from April until September we will meet from 10am to 3pm. Students may start at anytime during the year.
